Nürburgring/Berching – Two podium finishes in one weekend: 17-year-old GT4 driver Thomi Rackl from Berching once again impressed at the GT4 Germany mid-season race – not only thanks to his strong driving performance, but above all thanks to the power of his team.
Rackl already made an impressive showing on Saturday with a strong start from 15th place. ‘I took advantage of every gap – the car and the team worked together perfectly,’ said the ME Motorsport driver. Despite difficult conditions for the BMW M4 GT4, he fought his way up to second place overall. The sister car from ME Motorsport finished third – a double podium finish that the whole team can be proud of.
On Sunday, teammate Linus Hahne also started from 15th place and once again demonstrated how important team support is. In the race, Rackl finished 5th overall and also secured 3rd place in the junior classification – another podium finish in just two days.
‘None of this would be possible without the commitment of ME Motorsport, Motorsport Team Germany and our sponsors,’ emphasises Rackl. ‘We are all pulling together and I am really looking forward to the upcoming races.’
With plenty of momentum behind him, the young racing driver is now entering the second half of the GT4 Germany season with the aim of continuing to compete at the front of the field and regularly finishing on the podium.
