In front of around 102,000 spectators, my team and I once again gave our all and were able to gain valuable experience under difficult conditions.

On Saturday, the first qualifying session started with rain. But our team reacted perfectly and adjusted the car optimally to the new conditions. I ended up in second place – just six hundredths behind pole position. My teammate Linus secured fourth place in the second qualifying session – a strong performance from both of us!

In the first race, we were in fourth place for a long time – the best BMW in the field. Unfortunately, a puncture meant we had to retire early. That was already the third race in three race weekends where we failed to score any points, through no fault of our own. That's obviously disappointing, but setbacks like that are part and parcel of motorsport.

Things went much better on Sunday: we started from fourth place and finished fifth – once again the best BMW. A solid result and a conciliatory end to the season. The big sponsor event at the Hockenheimring was a real highlight. Many of my partners were there and were able to experience the DTM finale up close. It was a great day with exciting conversations, wonderful moments and lots of motivation for the future.

I am incredibly proud of our entire team, the ADAC Sports Foundation and all the sponsors who made this season possible. Thank you very much for the support, trust and passion that each and every one of you has contributed.

Planning for the coming season is already in full swing – and there may be exciting news soon. I am really looking forward to what is to come!
