Last weekend, I attended the season opener of the ADAC GT4 Germany in Oschersleben as part of the DTM.
It went quite well for us. We made a few changes to the car beforehand, which paid off straight away. In the first qualifying session, we were the fastest BMW and managed to secure 7th place. We struggled a bit in the race, but were able to defend our position in P7 with confidence.
Things initially went even better in the second qualifying session: we were in a strong sixth place. Unfortunately, there was then a track limit violation, which meant we were relegated to tenth place – but we were still the best BMW in the field.
During the race, we gradually worked our way back to the front. In the end, we finished in 7th place again as the best BMW car.
A big thank you goes to my entire team, Motorsport Team Germany, my ME Motorsport crew and my co-driver Linus Hahne. Everyone did a really good job, and we know what we still need to work on. I am very confident and am already looking forward to the next event at the Norisring!
