Thomi Rackl is embarking on a new and significant chapter in his motorsport career: on 6 December, he was officially accepted into the new BMW M Racing Academy – an international programme for young talent that BMW M Motorsport launched in 2024.

Thomi is one of only three riders worldwide who have been selected for the inaugural group. He will be joined by Ryder Quinn (Australia) and Joshua Green (USA). As the only European, Thomi will play a special role within the programme.

The BMW M Racing Academy offers a year-round development programme that comprehensively prepares young talents for professional motorsport. This includes mental training, driver development, fitness, simulator work and detailed technical analyses. The athletes receive close support and guidance in every area.

Thomi is supported by experienced BMW M works drivers such as Max Hesse, Robby Foley and Jens Klingmann, who contribute their expertise from international GT series and act as mentors.

The specific steps to be taken next will be determined in the coming months in collaboration with BMW M Motorsport and our own team. One thing is certain: the year will be intense, challenging and an important milestone on the road to professional motorsport.
